Baby items: this removes residue, it does not sterilise. Keep sterilising dummies and teethers the way you normally do.
What the water is actually doing
The base of the tank vibrates at roughly 50 kHz, far above hearing. Those vibrations form and collapse microscopic bubbles throughout the water, and the collapse knocks film and debris off every surface the water touches: behind the claws holding a ring's stone, between the links of a watch strap, inside the grooves of a retainer. Nothing scrubs against the item, so nothing gets scratched.

Fill it to the line
Room-temperature water. Plain water works for a daily rinse. For anything oily, like cutlery, makeup brushes or razor heads, add a drop of dish soap. Never switch it on empty.

Pick 3, 5 or 10 minutes
Short press cycles through the three timers. Long press starts it. Three minutes for a quick clean, ten for jewellery or tools that haven't been cleaned in a while.

Rinse and dry
It stops on its own. Rinse under the tap, pat dry, and tip the water out — don't leave it standing in the tank.
To be straight with you: this is a cleaner, not a steriliser. It has no UV lamp and no heater, and we make no claim that it kills bacteria or viruses. It removes the physical build-up that a brush or cloth struggles with. If your dentist or orthodontist has given you a soaking or disinfecting routine, keep following it. This replaces the scrubbing, not their advice.
One button does everything
Long press to switch it on or off. Short press to move between the 3, 5 and 10 minute cycles. A small light shows which one is running, and it breathes slowly while the cycle is going so you can see it working from across the room.
It charges over a DC cable from any 5V 2A phone charger and takes two to four hours from flat. There's no indicator light while charging — the plug simply stops warming when it's done. Don't use a fast charger rated above 5V 2A.

Questions people ask before buying
Will it scratch my jewellery or clear aligners?
No. Nothing physically touches the item. The cleaning happens in the water around it. That's the main reason people move to ultrasonic cleaning from brushing, because a brush on clear plastic or polished metal is what leaves the fine scratches that make things look foggy over time.
Can I clean my glasses in it?
The frames, yes, if you can take the lenses out. The lenses, no. Almost all modern lenses are resin or have anti-glare and scratch coatings, and the manufacturer specifically says not to put coated or resin lenses in. Ultrasonic vibration can craze those coatings.
Will it make tarnished silver shiny again?
It depends what the dullness is. Most of the time it's a film of skin oil, soap and lotion, and that comes off. Real tarnish is a chemical change in the silver itself, and water and vibration won't reverse it. For that you still need a silver cloth or dip.
Is it safe for my baby's dummy and teething ring?
It will shift milk and food residue out of the grooves, and it's listed by the manufacturer for both. It does not sterilise them. Rinse well afterwards and keep up whatever sterilising routine you already use.
Does it sterilise or kill bacteria?
No, and we won't tell you otherwise. There's no UV lamp and no heating element. It removes physical build-up. If you need disinfection, use it alongside whatever soaking solution or steriliser you already use.
Can I use it without plugging it in?
Yes. The 500 mAh battery runs it cordless, so you can keep it on a dressing table or bathroom shelf with no cable, or take it away with you and charge it off a power bank.
How loud is it?
A low hum, quieter than an electric toothbrush. The silicone feet stop it buzzing against a hard counter. The ultrasonic frequency itself is above what people can hear.
What if it arrives broken or stops working?
Tell us within 48 hours if it arrives damaged and we'll replace it or refund you, and we pay the return courier. Separately, the Consumer Protection Act gives you six months from delivery to return anything faulty for a repair, replacement or refund — your choice, not ours. Details are in the returns policy.
What if I just don't want it after it arrives?
You have seven days from receiving it to cancel for any reason, under section 44 of the ECT Act. Send it back in a resaleable condition and we refund the R500 within 30 days. You pay the return courier in that case — that's the one cost that falls to you.
Is my card safe on this site?
Your card details are never entered on this site. When you check out you're handed to Yoco's own secure payment page, which is PCI-compliant and run by a licensed South African payment provider. We only receive a yes-or-no on whether the payment went through.
Do you deliver to a PO Box?
No. Aramex needs a physical street address and someone to sign. A work address is fine if that's easier during the day.
